e& Business and Horizon Egypt Partner to Build an Integrated Digital Ecosystem for SA’ADA New Cairo

e& Business, the enterprise arm of e& Egypt and a leading provider of digital transformation and connectivity solutions, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Horizon Egypt Developments to design and implement the project’s advanced digital infrastructure and smart connectivity ecosystem for SA’ADA New Cairo. The partnership includes Triple Play services, high-performance fiber-optic networks, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, creating a unified digital operating environment from the earliest stages of development through full project operation.

The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Hazem Metwally, Chief Executive Officer of e& Egypt, and His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid bin Saeed bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, General manager of Ajman Citizens Affairs Office and Chairman of Horizon Egypt for Touristic Developments. The agreement was signed by Mr. Sherif El Khouly, Chief Business Officer of e& Egypt, and Mr. Ibrahim Beshir, Board Member at Horizon Egypt Developments, in the presence of senior executives from both companies.

The partnership reflects the strategic depth of the longstanding Egyptian-UAE relationship, bringing together e& Business’s regional and international expertise in telecommunications and digital technologies with Horizon Egypt’s development vision, backed by Emirati expertise, to establish a scalable smart digital model that can be replicated across future developments in Egypt and regional markets.

Moving beyond the traditional approach of providing connectivity services to real estate projects, the partnership places digital infrastructure at the core of the project’s operating model. The integrated platform will enable Horizon Egypt to manage facilities, assets, and services through real time data, transforming operational insights into intelligent decisions that improve efficiency, reduce downtime and resource waste, and ensure the long-term sustainability and quality of services.

As part of the agreement, e& Business will deploy its Ultra Fiber network, delivering symmetrical, future ready multi-gigabit connectivity while maintaining network stability and minimizing signal loss, even during peak usage periods.

The smart operations layer will serve as a unified digital interface that connects devices, sensors, and systems across the development while collecting and analyzing data in real time. This will support predictive maintenance, water and energy consumption monitoring, asset management, and environmental and security analytics, enabling the rapid expansion of smart services without requiring the underlying technology infrastructure to be rebuilt at each stage.

The new digital infrastructure also lays the foundation for an integrated suite of smart city applications, including multi-functional smart poles equipped with energy-efficient lighting, connectivity modules, environmental sensors, and surveillance cameras, alongside electric vehicle charging infrastructure, smart parking guidance systems, and intelligent transportation tracking within the development.

The vision further includes the development of a unified resident application that enables visitors’ access management, utility monitoring and payments, smart home controls, and seamless access to community and retail services through a single digital gateway.

The platform’s open and scalable architecture provides Horizon Egypt with a future-ready digital foundation capable of evolving alongside technological advancements and residents’ changing needs. It also creates a replicable model for future developments across Egypt and regional markets, enhancing digital readiness while maximizing operational efficiency and long-term asset value.
